Ref: Belpahari PS Case No. 08/17 Dt.02.02.17 U/S-302/201 IPC. One accused namely Sukumar Murmu (24), S/O- Charu Murmu of Vill- Ganjuam, PS- Belpahari, Dist- Paschim Medinipur was arrested. The fact of the case is one Ranjit Murmu (33 yrs), S/O- Pandab Murmu of Vill- Kashijora, PO- Charakpahari, PS- Belpahari, Dist- Paschim Medinipur that his elder sister namely Rashmoni Murmu, D/O- Pandab Murmu of Vill- Kasijora, PO- Charakpahari, PS- Belpahari was employed as a Group-D staff of “Ramkrishna Vivekananda Mission Abasik Sebasram” at Bergram under Jamalpur PS of Burdwan District. On 13.01.17 at morning 05:30 hrs she started her journey for reaching at home from Bergram Railway Station by Mosagram Bankura train, but did not reached house and accordingly they lodge a missing GDE at Jamalpur PS on 19.01.17 vide GDE No- 827. On 13.01.17 his elder sister Rashmoni Murmu informed his another sister Radhika Murmu over telephone (From a mobile no– 7797820267) about her arrival at her house. On 02.02.17 at around 13:30 hrs the informant was informed that the police has found a decomposed female body in a jungle beside a cannel near Shyamnagar village under Belpahari PS Arriving there observing bag & bagages, documents in the bag, wearing apparels and its body structure the informant identified that the decomposed dead body is of his elder sister Rashmoni Murmu. Right hand of the deceased was bent upto its elbow and was bound to its neck by a piece of cloth/Towel/Dhuti from the back side of the body. The informant doubts that any miscreant / some miscreants has left the dead body of his elder sister Rashmoni Murmu after committing murder by noosing her neck.
