ART or Anti Riot Team is a novel creativity of Jhargram Police wherein 03 (three) teams consisting of 20 (twenty) Home Guards / NVF each was formed in 2012. With superlative training in riot control and non lethal weapons (Tangasole CRPF HQ -02 times, Salua EFR HQ -01 time) conspicuous black uniform and focused energy, discipline the ART teams of Jhargram Police District have create a mark for themselves in tackling Law and Order situation in both Jhargram and Paschim Medinipur Police Districts. The otherwise under-utilized manpower of Police mainly Home Guard and NVF have raising to the occasions and upheld the trust reposed on them by the District Police leadership. Currently there are 07 (seven) ART teams in Jhargram Police District. Regular updation of his skills through training is the sine qua non. Excellence in performance is a continued journey for them.
